Ruffwear Palisades Dog Backpack

Ruffwear Palisades is a thoroughly thought-out package, and its built-in compression system sets it apart from all other dog backpacks. Thanks to the tightening elastic bands inside the bags, the volume of the bags can be adjusted and the backpack's center of gravity sits as close to the dog's body as possible, meaning the backpack does not swing from side to side and disturb the dog's balance.

Ruffwear Palisades is based on the Y-shaped Ruffwear Web Master harness under the quickly detachable bags. The harness is already popular among hikers: thanks to the chest and belly straps and the sturdy handle on the back, you can assist the dog in difficult terrain, and the harness cannot be pulled off by backing up.

Choosing the size of the Ruffwear Palisades Pack

First measure your dog's chest circumference (at the widest point behind the front legs). Then compare the other measurements given in the table for that size to your dog.

• The transverse chest strap can be tightened smaller, maximum length is mentioned in the table.
• It is especially worth checking that the length of the longitudinal chest strap is sufficient so that the transverse chest strap does not rub the back of the armpits.
• The length of the back part shows how far back the rear belly strap extends
