Rex Specs Ear Pro: hearing protectors designed especially for official and working dogs
Rex Specs Ear Pro hearing protector prevents temporary and long-term hearing loss in dogs and protects dogs in demanding work tasks and noisy environments. In addition to military and police working dogs, rescue dogs, and assistance dogs, protecting a dog's hearing can be very beneficial for hunting dogs, for example. Ear Pro dampens sounds such as gunshots, helicopters, explosions, fireworks, and engine noise.
Ear Pro hearing protectors are lightweight and very breathable. They are made from highly sound-insulating material and are compatible with Rex Specs protective glasses. The design fits snugly on the dog's head.

Measure the dog's head circumference as shown in the picture
See the suitable size from the table below. If your dog is between two sizes, the manufacturer recommends choosing the larger size. The product's fit is very snug and tight to stay well on the head even if the dog shakes itself, for example. If your dog's head circumference is not at least approx. 33 cm, unfortunately this product is not suitable.

Is Rex Specs Ear Pro suitable for a small dog?
Unfortunately, for small dogs (e.g., dogs under 12 kg such as small terriers and dachshunds), the smallest size of Ear Pro hearing protectors, size 2, is too large.
Ear Pro is primarily designed for working dogs / service dogs, i.e., medium to large dogs.
Does a noise-sensitive dog benefit from Ear Pro hearing protectors?
Rex Specs Ear Pro hearing protectors are primarily designed to protect the dog's hearing from loud noises such as gunshots, loud engines, or concert noise. For a dog with normal hearing, they reduce everyday sounds somewhat but do not completely prevent the dog from hearing its surroundings. Ear Pro hearing protectors may help some noise-sensitive dogs, but this is always individual.
Does the dog need to get used to wearing Ear Pro hearing protectors?
Yes, this is recommended. Start training in a calm environment, without sound distractions. Make putting on and wearing the protector a positive and pleasant experience for the dog. The best results are usually achieved through voluntary training. Reward the dog when it approaches the product - and gradually move to the dog pushing its head into the product itself - and eventually through it.
