The Ruffwear BackTrak™ Evacuation Kit is an emergency evacuation pack that combines an ergonomically designed carrying vest and a dog rescue harness along with a lightweight muzzle.
In addition to emergencies, the rescue harness is of course also suitable for more challenging spots encountered on hikes and trips, which can be very difficult for the dog itself to pass: for example, crossing ladders, steep stairs, suspension bridges, metal grates, rivers, etc.
Why does the set also include a muzzle?
All dogs, even those normally gentle to people, can defend themselves and use their teeth when injured and in pain during handling situations. Especially if the helper is a person unfamiliar to the dog. That is why The BackTrak Evacuation Kit also includes a lightweight fabric muzzle: so you can safely help your dog out of the terrain.
For whom Who is the Ruffwear BackTrak™ Evacuation Kit especially suitable for?
This carrying harness set is suitable for everyone who wants to move in nature well equipped with their dogs and prepared for all situations. This set is not the lightest solution - carrying comfort also weighs in the balance. The rescue harness structure allows the dog carrier a stable and ergonomic carrying position. The dog's weight is distributed to the person's shoulders and torso. This set is therefore also suitable for situations where the dog needs to be moved from remote backcountry and/or more challenging conditions: for example, when the carrier is on skis.
Choosing the size
Use the size chart to choose the right size for your dog. The human vest measurements are the same in all sizes (chest strap adjustment max. 170 cm and waist adjustment max 200 cm). If your dog is borderline in chest circumference and/or a long-bodied individual - it is better to choose a larger size.
