V.I.P dogwear Finnmark fabric booties are durable and lightweight sled dog booties for year-round use.

  • thin and durable cordura fabric bootie (cordura 500d)
  • suitable for use both in winter and during snow-free seasons
  • the fabric is durable yet flexible cordura fabric
  • flexible velcro fastening
  • Durability always depends on the type of activity. In steady running (like sled dogs), booties usually last longer than in activities where the dog makes quick speed and direction changes. Booties are, in any case, consumable items.
  • If you notice the end of the velcro strip fraying/wearing during use, cut a new clean edge immediately and seal the end by burning it.

Determining the right bootie size

Measure the circumference of your dog's paw at its widest point while the dog is standing (i.e., with weight on the paw). Divide this measurement by two and compare it to the width of the booties. Keep in mind that a dog's front paws are often wider than the hind paws. In borderline cases, choose the larger bootie (the dog's paw needs room to expand when stepping). Tip: if you don't have a flexible measuring tape, use a string and a regular ruler to measure the paw's circumference.

Please note that Finnmark is made of non-stretch fabric, so especially with this model, in borderline cases, it is definitely better to choose a larger size. In lightweight fabric booties, extra width does not hurt..
