Tick pen, also called a lasso pen, makes removing ticks precise and easy! With the pen-style tick remover, you can safely remove the tick whole.
Ticks can spread Borrelia bacteria, so it is recommended to remove them from the skin as soon as possible. It's a good idea to carry a tick pen on trips from spring through late autumn. It's smart to also have your own tick pen at the cabin and/or in the car, since a dog rolling in grass and underbrush is a real tick magnet.
How to use the tick pen:
The tick remover resembles a pen. The loop is pushed out with the button at the end of the pen, and the loop is placed around the tick as close to the skin as possible. The tip of the pen is placed against the tick and the button is released, tightening the loop. The spring is held perpendicular to the skin. The pen is twisted one turn between the fingers and the tick is lifted off the skin.
