The so-called, to be added under the dog's belly to the sled dog harness. a brake piece that prevents the dog from reversing out of the harness.
The safety brake is a very useful accessory for dogs with pulling harnesses, whose release from the harness is not desirable under any circumstances. It is therefore recommended to add a belly strap, for example, to the pulling harness of dogs that are very game-loving. A brake piece may also be necessary for lively dogs that tend to run around in the harness, for example, while waiting for permission to start.
The Inlandis Belly Band brake piece fits almost all sled dog harnesses. The adjustable strap is placed behind the chest under the belly to a small enough extent to prevent the harness from being unzipped. However, the band must not tighten the dog's stomach or prevent the normal expansion movement of the stomach when breathing, i.e. leave a little slack under the band.
