Lumac Sledding Helium: an extremely lightweight bungee Pull line with unmatched elasticity features. Canicross length and four different stiffness versions for small dogs to large strong pullers.

The Helium Pull line, designed and fully manufactured in Europe, is super light: weighing only about 95 grams. Despite its lightness, Helium’s elasticity is top-notch. The firm, high-quality bungee allows for a very long stretch distance: a 100 cm long Helium stretches to 195 cm when fully extended.

Helium is the choice for active competitors, but thanks to its long stretch distance, it is also very comfortable for dogs that don’t always pull the line fully tight: a bungee Pull line that shortens won’t tangle around the runner’s/walker’s legs.

Features of Lumac Helium:

• Gradual elasticity that increases with stretch effectively softens jerks (about 25 kg resistance force at full stretch and about 18 kg resistance force at 90% stretch)
• Versions for smaller/lighter pulling dogs are available, with elasticity that yields more easily. Stiffness levels M and L suit medium and large dogs.
• At the runner’s end of the line, there is about a 2 cm long loop to attach the line to a carabiner or open hook on the canicross belt
• NOTE: the line does not come with a carabiner included. Lumac Sledding Helium is designed so that it’s easy to attach your preferred carabiner to the rope loop at the dog’s end. Alternatively, the Helium line can be easily threaded directly onto the dog’s harness. This solution is especially comfortable for dogs that are bothered by the weight or swinging of a carabiner behind their back.

Choosing the size of Lumac Helium Line

Helium comes in several stiffness versions intended for dogs of different sizes and pulling strengths. The lengths are the same for all (100-195 cm). If your dog is a calm walker or hiker, you can also choose a size from a lower weight category: this way the line yields and stretches more easily. For a dog that pulls strongly, we recommend sticking to the suggested size or choosing a stiffer version if desired.

Extending the Lumac Helium Pull line for dog skiing, dog biking, and hiking?

It’s very easy to extend Helium by looping on an extension piece, for example Lumac Rope 50 cm or WAW Sport Leash 85 cm.

Lumac Helium Pull line for two dogs?

You can easily convert Helium into a two-dog line by attaching a Lumac Rope Pro Twin splitter. A smart combination if you sometimes train with one dog and sometimes with two. The line and splitter can be looped together through one of the attachment loops, so there are no annoying swinging carabiners in between. When using for two dogs, consider choosing the appropriate line stiffness relative to the combined weight of the pulling dogs.
