Non-stop dogwear CaniX Belt 3.0 – an extremely popular canicross belt for running with dogs
Non-stop CaniX Belt 3.0 makes running with your dog even more comfortable, efficient, and natural. The CaniX belt is designed especially for canicross, or running with dogs, where the dog's pulling force is an essential part of movement. The ergonomic design helps maintain a balanced running posture and reduces strain on the lower back.
The CaniX Belt was developed in cooperation with top-level canicross athletes. The result is a lightweight, comfortable, and functional canicross belt that works both in competitions and on regular runs and active outings with your dog.
An ergonomic canicross belt helps you run better
When the dog pulls forward, the force constantly tends to pull the runner's core out of balance. A good canicross belt helps transfer the dog's pulling force to the body in a way that supports a natural running posture.
CaniX Belt 3.0 the tow point is positioned low at hip and buttock level. This directs the pulling force more toward the hips rather than the core, helping keep the back and running posture more natural even when the dog pulls strongly.
The low tow point helps:
- to keep the back and core in a better position
- to maintain a balanced running technique
- to reduce strain on the lower back
- to use the dog's pulling force more efficiently
- to make running more relaxed and natural
The difference compared with a conventional waist-level tow point is particularly noticeable when the dog is actively running on the line and the pulling force is continuous.
The moving tow point follows the dog's movement
Non-stop CaniX Belt 3.0 one of the most important features of the canicross belt is laterally moving tow point.
When running, the dog does not always stay directly in front. It may switch sides, move to the side of the line, or pull in a different direction around a bend. In the CaniX Belt, the attachment point for the dog's towline can move along the loop at the front of the belt.
This distributes the dog's pulling force more evenly across the hips, and the belt does not twist as easily even when the dog pulls to the side.
This makes the CaniX Belt 3.0 especially comfortable, for example:
- in canicross
- on running trips
- on forest trails
- when hiking
- when the dog pulls strongly
- in situations where the dog constantly changes its line slightly
Screw-locking aluminum carabiner included as standard
The CaniX Belt 3.0 is supplied with a screw-locking aluminum carabiner, which serves as the attachment point for the dog's towline.
The carabiner moves along the loop at the front of the belt, allowing it to follow the dog's movement. This keeps the attachment point functionally aligned with the dog's movement without causing the belt to twist around you.
Updated 0.5-liter pocket
On the back of the belt is an expandable 0.5-liter zippered pocket, where you can conveniently store your phone, keys, energy gel, or other small items needed during a run.
The expandable design gives the pocket flexibility when you need to carry a little more.
Lightweight and comfortable to wear
CaniX Belt 3.0 is designed for active use, so particular attention has been paid to its light weight, fit, and functional materials.
The inside of the belt features silicone grippers, which help keep the belt in place while running. The materials are durable while still comfortable to use.
The belt uses bluesign® APPROVED materials in several components, including the outer and inner fabrics, webbing, buckle, and zipper.
Visibility for nighttime runs
CaniX Belt 3.0 are 3M™ reflective prints, which improve visibility in low light and darkness.
When running with your dog year-round, you often head out even when there is no longer enough daylight. Reflective details are an important addition in these conditions.
Designed for demanding use
CaniX Belt 3.0 is built to withstand the continuous pulling caused by canicross. The belt's stated tensile strength is 300 kg, so the construction is made for active use and even strong dogs pulling hard.
The overall design combines durable ripstop nylon materials, Hypalon reinforcements, a high-quality YKK zipper, and a Duraflex® buckle.

Who is the Non-stop CaniX Belt 3.0 for?
CaniX Belt 3.0 is primarily designed for canicross, or dog running, but its purpose is not limited to competitions and running. It is also ideal for active dog owners who want to keep their hands free on walks and make use of their dog's pulling power as part of their exercise.
It is a good choice both for beginners in canicross and experienced enthusiasts who want to invest in ergonomics and functional equipment. Its flat design also allows you to use backpacks and hiking packs at the same time, making CaniX a good choice for hiking and trekking with your dog.
Choosing the right size for the Non-stop CaniX Belt
The CaniX Belt is highly adjustable and is available in three different sizes.
The belt is more comfortable to wear if the lower, wider back section* that sits at buttock height extends slightly toward the front of the thighs rather than ending at the sides, right at the hip bones. So check the width of the lower back section in the measurement chart and compare it with your own measurements.
When choosing a size, you should also consider whether you plan to use the belt in winter with thicker clothing. If you are between sizes, it is generally best to choose the larger size: the CaniX offers excellent adjustment options.

Is the Non-stop CaniX Belt also suitable for skijoring?
Yes, you can also ski with the CaniX! In practice, however, CaniX's lower attachment point, or lower cross strap, somewhat limits the effective lateral push of skating technique. So if you are a very active skijoring enthusiast, you may want to choose a belt where the line attaches higher up, approximately at hip-bone height. Examples of such belts include the Non-stop Trekking Belt and Non-stop Loype Belt.
You can explore the different canicross belt models on Traildog's canicross belt selection guide page, and read more about canicross as a sport here.
