Canicross Belt selection guide
Non-stop dogwear CaniX Belt 3.0 – the hugely popular canicross belt for running with dogs
Non-stop CaniX Belt 3.0 makes running with your dog even more comfortable, efficient, and natural. The CaniX canicross belt is designed especially for canicross, or running with dogs, where the dog's pull is an essential part of movement. The ergonomic design helps maintain a balanced running posture and reduces strain on the lower back.
The CaniX Belt was developed in collaboration with top-level canicross athletes. The result is a lightweight, comfortable, and functional canicross belt that works both in competitions and on regular runs and active hikes with your dog.
An ergonomic canicross belt helps you run better
When the dog pulls forward, the pull constantly tends to throw the runner's core off balance. A good canicross belt helps transfer the dog's pull to the body in a way that supports a natural running posture.
CaniX Belt 3.0 the attachment point is positioned low at hip and glute level. This directs the pull more effectively to the hips rather than the core, helping keep the back and running posture more natural even when the dog pulls strongly.
The low attachment point helps:
- to keep the back and core in a better position
- to maintain a balanced running technique
- to reduce strain on the lower back
- to make more effective use of the dog's pull
- to make running more relaxed and natural
The difference compared with a conventional attachment point positioned at the waist is especially noticeable when the dog is actively running in the line and the pull is continuous.
The moving attachment point follows the dog's movement
Non-stop CaniX Belt 3.0 one of the most important features of a canicross belt is a laterally moving attachment point.
When running, the dog does not always stay directly in front. It may switch sides, move to one side, or pull in a different direction around a bend. On the CaniX belt, the towline attachment point can move along the loop at the front of the belt.
This distributes the dog's pull more evenly across the hips, so the belt is less likely to twist even when the dog pulls to the side.
This makes the CaniX Belt 3.0 especially comfortable, for example:
- in canicross
- on runs
- on forest trails
- when hiking
- when the dog pulls strongly
- in situations where the dog constantly changes its line slightly
Screw-lock aluminum carabiner included as standard
The CaniX Belt 3.0 comes with a screw-lock aluminum carabiner, which serves as the attachment point for the dog's towline.
The carabiner moves along the loop at the front of the belt, allowing it to follow the dog's movement. This keeps the attachment point effectively moving with the dog without causing the belt to twist around your waist.
Updated 0.5-liter pocket
The back of the belt features a zippered and expandable 0.5-liter pocket, which conveniently fits a phone, keys, an energy gel, or other small items needed on a run. In the CaniX 3.0 version, the pocket lining is orange, making it easier to see the items inside.
The expandable design gives the pocket flexibility when you need to bring a little more with you.
Lightweight and comfortable to wear
CaniX Belt 3.0 is designed for active use, so particular attention has been paid to its light weight, fit, and material performance.
The inside of the belt features silicone grippers, which help keep the belt in place while running. The materials are durable while also comfortable to use.
The belt uses bluesign® APPROVED materials in several components, including the outer and inner fabrics, webbing, buckle, and zipper.
Visibility for dark runs
CaniX Belt 3.0 is 3M™ reflective prints, which improve visibility in low light and darkness.
When running with a dog year-round, you often head out even when there is no longer enough daylight. Reflective details are an important addition in these conditions.
Designed for demanding use
CaniX Belt 3.0 is built to withstand the constant pulling caused by canicross. The belt's stated tensile strength is 300 kg, so its construction is designed for active use and even strong dogs pulling hard.
The design combines durable ripstop nylon materials, Hypalon reinforcements, a high-quality YKK zipper, and a Duraflex® buckle.

Who is the Non-stop CaniX Belt 3.0 suitable for?
CaniX Belt 3.0 is primarily designed for canicross, but its use is not limited to competitions and running. It is also an excellent choice for active dog owners who want to keep their hands free on walks and make use of their dog's pulling power as part of their exercise.
It is a good choice both for beginners to canicross and experienced enthusiasts who want to invest in ergonomics and functional equipment. Its flat design also allows you to use backpacks and rucksacks at the same time, making CaniX a good choice for hiking and trekking with your dog.
Choosing the size of the Non-stop CaniX Belt
The CaniX Belt is highly adjustable and is available in three different sizes.
The belt is more comfortable to wear if the lower, wider back section* that sits at buttock height extends slightly toward the front of the thighs rather than ending at the sides, right at hip-bone level. So check the width of the lower back section in the size chart and compare it with your own measurements.
When choosing a size, you should also consider whether you intend to use the belt in winter with thicker clothing. If you are between sizes, it is generally best to choose the larger size: the CaniX offers excellent adjustment options.

Is the Non-stop CaniX Belt also suitable for skijoring?
Yes, you can also ski with the CaniX! In practice, however, the CaniX's lower attachment point, or lower cross strap, somewhat restricts the effective sideways kick of skating technique. So if you are a very active skijoring enthusiast, you may want to choose a belt where the line attaches higher up, approximately at the height of your hip bones. Examples of such belts include the Non-stop Trekking Belt and Non-stop Loype Belt.

Pehmeä ja kevyt. Takataskuun mahtui hyvin puhelin.
