V.I.P Max Protect Bootie rubber booties with anti-slip surface: grip and durability for bare ground training, trips, or everyday use.
Renewed anti-slip coated model of the popular V.I.P Rubber bootie (previously sold under the name Dragråttan VIP rubber booties and Barmark Rubber). These booties are made of flexible cut-resistant fabric with a durable anti-slip rubber coating on top for maximum grip. V.I.P. rubber booties are intended for bare ground and offer up to 10x better grip compared to traditional fabric booties.
V.I.P Max Protect Rubber booties have V.I.P Universal -booties' wide and flexible hook-and-loop fastener. The material is not quite as flexible as uncoated due to the rubber coating, but it lasts and holds significantly better.
- Sold in packs of 4
- Because of the rubber coating, they do not get wet easily, so they are also great for dogs with, e.g., paw pad wounds, nail injuries, paw bandages, or furunculosis.
- Due to excellent grip, also suitable for, e.g., working dogs or dogs afraid of slippery floors.
- A very popular bootie for sled dogs in bare ground training: more durable than fabric booties
- Specifically designed for bare ground: sand, gravel, asphalt, etc.
- Fairly narrow and tall in shape. Best suited for long-legged breeds.
- NOTE: If you notice the end of the hook-and-loop tape becoming fuzzy/frayed during use, it's best to cut a new clean cutting surface right away and burn the end closed.
Surface material
The surface material of the rubber booties is flexible rubber. Due to manufacturing techniques, the rubber coating on the bootie may have some irregularities in places (e.g., small pinhole in the rubber surface or other unevenness). The soft surface rubber also wears with use: for example, gravel, sharp ice, branches, etc. can cause wrinkles on the surface. These do not prevent the use of the bootie: the bootie's lifespan can be extended by moving the more worn side to the top of the paw. Lightweight so-called sled dog booties are always consumable items, so we recommend also having spare booties ready.
The way the rubber coating is applied shrinks the bootie, and therefore factory-made booties may not be exactly the same size. Size differences can be evened out by stretching smaller booties to their full length.
The Antislip rubber surface provides excellent grip on bare ground. If you are specifically looking for a rubber-coated bootie suitable for winter conditions, check out the fiberglass-rubber coated Non-stop dogwear Protector Bootie booties.
Determining the size of the V.I.P Max Protect rubber bootie
Measure the circumference of your dog's paw at its widest point while the dog is standing (so the paw is bearing weight). Divide this measurement by two and compare it to the bootie's width. In borderline cases, choose a bootie that is rather too loose than too tight (the dog's paw needs room to expand when stepping). If your dog has a significant size difference between front and hind paws, it is advisable to get two sets of different sizes.
Size and color code update 2024
The manufacturer updated the model and sizes in 2024. The manufacturer introduced a new intermediate size S between the previous XS size (pink edge) and S/M size (red). At the same time, the color code for XS changed from pink to white. The old S/M size is now best matched by size M (both with red edges).
All new booties have a squarer shape at the tip than the old ones, and there may also be a difference in width towards a larger size.

Omalta Suomenlapinkoiralta leikattiin anturasta patti, ja toipuminen vei 6 viikkoa. Nämä "töppöset" oli korvaamaton apu haavan suojaamisessa lenkillä. Toimi hyvin, pysyi paikallaan ja mikä tärkeintä koira hyväksyi. Töppönen on nyt osa sanavarastoa! S koko oli just sopiva, ohut sukka meni vielä alle.
Ensimmäiset sopivat lyhyet tossut jotka sopivat manchesterinterrierilleni. Pysyivät hyvin jalassa
Hyvät tossut ja ihan huippu nopea toimitus.
Pysyy hyvin kiinni.
