For Kickspark MAX, we recommend choosing plastic runners right away, which are easy to press under the sled's metal runners. Metal runners alone are suitable for hard-packed surfaces. Plastic runners provide extra glide and lighten the ride if there is more snow on the ground. Choose sliding runners if you usually move on plowed roads, or snow runners if there is often more snow or you want extra stability when running with dogs.

Choosing runners for the Kickspark sled

Kickspark comes standard equipped with a general runner, which is used on very hard surfaces like ice and road. A hard-packed road is their most suitable operating area.

If you move with Kickspark on any softer surface: snowy walking paths, ski tracks, etc., it is definitely recommended to also use plastic runners on the Kickspark, which help the sled glide better.

A snow runner or sliding runner is a plastic ski that is pressed onto the general runner. These plastic runners carry the kicker on softer surfaces as well, from ski tracks to snowmobile trails. The runners can also be waxed like skis if desired.

Kickspark in the sled class of sled dog sports competitions

In sled dog sports competitions, the sled must have a metal frame (like Kickspark), and according to the rules, the sled must be equipped with plastic runners and a brake. The dog must be attached to the sled with a fully extended elastic Pull line between min. 2.5 and max. 3.5 meters long.

Kickspark sled package delivery and assembly

The sled (with possible accessories) is delivered folded in a box. Assembly is easy, requires no special tools, and takes about fifteen minutes.
